Farmers Honoured for Generous Straw Donations to Cow Shelters in Banda

Banda: Chief Development Officer Ved Prakash Maurya, on Wednesday, adorned six farmers who generously donated straw with traditional attire and floral garlands, recognizing their noble contribution. Each farmer was also presented with a certificate of appreciation for their selfless act.

Santosh Kumar Gautam, son of Lalaram Kishore Gautam from Dikhitwara village in the Naraini development block, contributed 100 quintals of straw. Suresh Kumar Gautam, son of Bholaram Gautam from Basrehi village, also donated 100 quintals, while Jaikaran, son of Prithvi Pal from Amlor village, contributed the same amount. Babulal Patel, son of Nathu Singh from Kalyanpur village, was honored for his donation of 102 quintals. Similarly, Kamlesh Singh, son of Ram Singh from Chandaur village, donated 108 quintals, and Ramesh Kumar, son of Chunnilal from Dadhwa Manpur village, contributed 100 quintals to cow shelters.

In the Naraini development block, other farmers joined this benevolent initiative by collectively donating approximately 745 quintals of straw for cow shelters. This initiative has garnered a total of about 4372 quintals of straw from various cow sheds across the district.

The event was attended by Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh, Block Development Officer Naraini, Dr. Ram Singh from Badausa Veterinary Office, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Naraini, Deputy Chief Medical Officers, medical health officials, and others. The Chief Development Officer urged everyone to actively participate and contribute straw for this noble cause. Furthermore, it was announced that animal husbandry farmers who donate more than 100 quintals of straw will be honored by the District Magistrate with a certificate of recognition.
