‘Fantastic Start To 2025’: Diljit Dosanjh Meets PM Modi, Discusses Music, Culture, And India’s Strength

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, known for his singing and acting, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. The meeting, filled with candid moments, saw the PM praising Diljit’s journey from a countryside youth to a global icon.

In a video shared on X, Diljit greeted PM Modi with a bouquet. The Prime Minister welcomed him warmly, saying, “Sat Shri Akal Ji.” The background music featured Diljit’s hit song “Born to Shine,” adding a personal touch to the video.

PM Modi shared photos of their meeting on X, calling Diljit “multifaceted” and praising his ability to blend talent with tradition. He said they connected over music, culture, and more. Diljit called the meeting a fantastic start to 2025 and expressed gratitude for the conversation.

During their interaction, PM Modi praised Diljit, saying, “When an Indian youth from the countryside gets fame in the world, it feels nice.” Diljit humbly acknowledged the praise.

Diljit also highlighted Yoga’s significance, calling it magical. PM Modi agreed, emphasizing Yoga’s transformative power.

Diljit recalled PM Modi’s tribute to the Ganga River and sang soulful lines about Guru Nanak. The PM appreciated his performance by tapping along.

The meeting holds socio-political importance. Diljit has faced criticism for supporting the farmers’ protests and expressing personal views. His interaction with PM Modi might prompt critics to reconsider their stance.
