Family Seeks Parole For Abbas Ansari To Attend Mukhtar Ansari’s Funeral: HC Application Filed

PRAYAGRAJ: To facilitate Abbas Ansari’s attendance at his father Mukhtar Ansari’s funeral, the Ansari family will apply to the Allahabad High Court. The application will request the release of Abbas Ansari on parole. Abbas Ansari, the son of the notorious mafia leader Mukhtar Ansari, is currently incarcerated in Kasganj Jail.

As a reminder, Mukhtar Ansari passed away on Thursday night while in custody at Banda Jail in Uttar Pradesh. Post-mortem procedures are underway today under tight security. Mukhtar’s son, Abbas Ansari, remains in detention.

According to sources, the Ansari family plans to submit the parole request for Abbas Ansari’s release to the Allahabad High Court today. The plea will seek permission for Abbas Ansari to attend his father’s funeral.

Given the urgency of the situation, the family will request an expedited hearing from the High Court for Abbas Ansari’s parole. The request will be made to the Chief Justice’s court. Discussions between Mukhtar Ansari’s family members and their lawyer regarding this matter took place approximately two days ago.

Mukhtar Ansari, who was held in Banda jail, passed away due to a cardiac arrest. His health deteriorated around 8:30 pm on Thursday evening while in custody.
