Explosion Near Delhi’s Red Fort Sparks Panic; Several Reported Injured

A powerful explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday afternoon caused widespread panic among locals and tourists in the area.

The blast occurred near Gate No 1 of the Lal Qila Metro Station, leaving the area engulfed in smoke and confusion.

According to early reports, two to three people sustained injuries in the incident, and several nearby vehicles were damaged after the car caught fire following the explosion.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as the fire spread quickly to three other cars parked nearby.

Firefighters and police teams arrived promptly at the scene to control the blaze and evacuate the area.

The explosion also shattered the windows of vehicles parked close to the site. The authorities have cordoned off the area, and forensic experts are assessing the cause of the explosion.

The incident occurred at a time when the vicinity was crowded, heightening concerns over public safety. Law enforcement agencies have yet to confirm whether the blast resulted from an accident or any suspicious activity.
