Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed a public rally in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
During his rally address, PM Modi cautioned against external opposition to India’s ascent, affirming the nation’s resolve. He highlighted the establishment of a defense corridor aimed at strengthening military capabilities and fostering self-reliance.
PM Modi emphasized thwarting vested interests, citing the anger of arms brokers previously allied with Congress. He called for support for the BJP-NDA government to counter these adversaries and safeguard India’s sovereignty.
PM Modi addressed the alarming paper leak incident occurred in Rajasthan, emphasizing its grave repercussions for the prospects of the nation’s youth. He disclosed that the state government under Ashok Gehlot played a pivotal role in the occurrence, squarely placing the blame on the Congress.
PM Modi asserted, “Modi’s guarantee is Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Whether it’s our 10-year track record or the BJP’s manifesto, our focus is on empowerment.”
Prime Minister Modi criticized the SP-Congress alliance, accusing them of engaging in blatant appeasement tactics while he focuses on uplifting the poor. He claimed that the Congress’s manifesto for the 2024 elections bore the complete imprint of the Muslim League, allegedly aimed at strengthening their vote bank. This remark underscores the ongoing political tension surrounding identity politics and electoral strategies in India.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the people of Uttar Pradesh, particularly the OBC community, must now grasp the dangerous game being played by the Congress and SP. They aim to strip away the rights of OBC castes like Yadav, Kurmi, Maurya, Kushwaha, Jat-Gujjar, Rajbhar, Teli, and Pal, transferring them to their preferred vote banks.
PM Modi added that the SP, solely for its own gains, is betraying the trust of Yadavs and other backward classes.
