The ENBA Awards 2024 ceremony, held in the national capital on December 13, 2025, brought together prominent figures from the media industry to celebrate excellence in news broadcasting. On the occasion, Bharat Express News Channel received a special honour, with its in-depth investigative series ‘Operation Kala-Pani’ winning the Gold Award in the Best In-Depth Series category. The award recognised outstanding news broadcasting work undertaken during 2024.

Accepting the award, Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai said the recognition was the result of collective effort and hard work by the entire team. Photographs from the ceremony later surfaced on social media, capturing key moments of the event.

The presence of Kalki Dham Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam added to the significance of the ceremony. The ENBA Awards are widely regarded as a benchmark of excellence in the media sector.

‘Operation Kala-Pani’ Reporting Series

The ‘Operation Kala-Pani’ initiative, produced by the Bharat Express News Network, is a comprehensive investigative series that focuses on critical social issues. Through detailed reporting, the series brings forward impactful realities that resonate strongly with viewers.

The jury appreciated the project for going beyond information delivery and encouraging meaningful public reflection. Under the leadership of CMD Upendrra Rai, the team presented a compelling blend of sting operations and ground-level reporting.

Consistent Success At ENBA Awards

Bharat Express had also made a strong impression at the ENBA Awards last year, winning four honours for 2023. Among them was the award for ‘Operation Grahan’ in the Best Coverage of Social Issues category.

The channel was also recognised as Best Upcoming News Channel (Hindi), while awards were given for Best Continuing Coverage by a Reporter (Hindi) and Best Yearly Prime Show (Hindi) to anchor Aditi Tyagi.

In 2024, Upendrra Rai was once again honoured for ‘Operation Grahan’ at the ‘News Next 2024’ event, held on March 30, 2024, at the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi. These successive achievements have further strengthened the channel’s credibility and standing in the competitive news landscape.
