The Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday searched the premises of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s secretary Bibhav Kumar and some persons connected to the Aam Aadmi Party as part of a money laundering probe, official sources said.
The raids will cover about ten locations in the nation’s capital. They said it was unclear at the time whether the searches were related to a recent case or an ongoing money laundering investigation.
The central agency officials are monitoring the whereabouts of Bibhav Kumar, Shalabh Kumar, the former member of the Delhi Jal Board, the office of the party’s Rajya Sabha MP, and national treasurer N D Gupta, among a few other people. The ED action comes on a day when Delhi cabinet minister Atishi had said she would do an “explosive expose” on the agency.
