The enthusiasm of cricket lovers in Lucknow is at its peak at this time, and the reason for this is not only the IPL but also the cricket championship started by Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh. The enthusiasm of the youth further increased when, after the Cricket Championship (Urban), Dr. Rajeshwar Singh inaugurated the Cricket Championship (Rural) on Saturday. Justice Ataur Rahman Masoodi of the Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench) attended the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest.
The popularity of this cricket championship, started under the Sarojiniagar Sports League, is no longer limited to Sarojiniagar; it has become a movement all over Lucknow. A large number of cricket lovers gathered on the occasion of the inauguration of the Cricket Championship (Rural) at the LRSS Inter College Ground in Banthra. There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm and celebration throughout the entire stadium. Everyone was amazed to see this level of event in Graminchal; people from nearby also came to see the competition and boost the morale of the players.
The first match of the championship was played between Makhdoompur Kaithi Cricket Club and Harauni Cricket Youth Club, which Makhdoompur Kaithi Cricket Club won. After the match, the winning team was awarded, and the best-performing players were felicitated. Along with this, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh congratulated the players for the upcoming matches.
Dr. Rajeshwar Singh has continued the Sarojini Nagar Sports League to keep the youth physically fit and mentally alert. After the first basketball tournament, now the cricket championship is being organised. 170 teams have participated in it; it is historic. Youth is the future of the country; youth is a country in itself. It is our effort that the youth get all the facilities and resources for education and sports and bring laurels to the country.
The chief guest of the programme, Justice Ataur Rahman Masoodi of the Allahabad High Court, said that sports are a medium that awakens the spirit of working together among the youth. The youth of Sarojini Nagar are fortunate that they are being led by Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, who has a mixed experience of all three pillars of the Constitution: the Legislature, the Executive, and the Judiciary. With this experience, he is doing development in Sarojini Nagar.
MLC Pawan Singh, who reached the program, appreciated the work being done by Dr. Rajeshwar Singh and called Sarojini Nagar the best assembly in the state. He said that Dr. Rajeshwar Singh is providing excellent sports platforms to the youth. They are providing all the facilities and resources in the area.
BJP MLA from Sarojini Nagar, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, participated as the chief guest in the ‘International Conference on Challenges and Opportunities for Innovation in India.’ This was organised at the Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology. Here he told of India’s achievements in the field of science and research, as well as talked about the emphasis on new innovation and technology in the coming times.
He said that it feels good to encourage and guide the youth. India is a young country; the number of youth in the country is equal to the population of the fifth largest country in the world. Today, India is the 5th largest economy in the world. Before the advent of Startup India, there were only 400–500 startups in India. But today there are 90,000 startups across the country. Earlier, every 29th day, $1 million worth of unicorn companies were established, but today, a unicorn is created every 9th day.
During the field visit on Saturday, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh was welcomed at various places. He was given a grand welcome at Daroga Kheda, Kalli Bazar, Shanidev Mandir Square, and Mohanlalganj Square. Sarojini Nagar MLA expressed his gratitude for this welcome.
