Digvijay’s Brother Lakshman Singh Attacks Rahul Over ‘Indecent’ Speech On Hindus

Lakshman Singh, Brother of Congress’ stalwart leader Digvijay Singh hits out at Rahul Gandhi over his speech on ‘Hindus’ in parliament. In a post on platform X, Lakshman Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi saying that his speech on ‘Hindus’ was ‘indecent’ and ‘unnecessary’ .

Rahul Gandhi in his maiden speech as leader of opposition attacked BJP over number of issues. His comment of BJP calling it ‘Violent Hindus’ ignited a row. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave stringent reaction on his speech, saying Rahul was labelling all Hindus as violent. His remarks also drew massive protests from the members of the treasury benches

Gandhi in his debut speech accused BJP of dividing people on communal lines and employing hatred for political gains.

In an X post, Madhya Pradesh Congress leader Lakshman Singh said, “The comments made on “Hindus” in the Parliament are indecent and unnecessary. It would be appropriate to raise only and only issues related to the people and the country.”

Rahul Gandhi pointed out towards the preaching of non-violence in every religion. He said “those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence”, triggering massive uproar from the treasury benches. At this point, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah objected to his remarks.

Lakshman Singh has been a five-time MP from Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat. He has also been Member of Legislative Assembly for 3 terms.
