Arun alias Kanhaiya alias Chora, son of Sevaram and a fugitive wanted in connection with the murder of a head constable in Haryana, was apprehended by the Janakpuri police station in Delhi. Police authorities successfully recovered a country-made pistol along with two live cartridges from the accused.
Reportedly, on February 22, a team led by SHO Yashpal and ACP Rajouri Garden was conducting routine inspections near Janak Cinema. During their patrol, the team identified a suspicious individual and signaled him to halt. However, the suspect attempted to evade capture and fled the scene. In response, head constables Naresh, Praveen, and Ramkesh promptly pursued the fleeing suspect, ultimately apprehending him.
Upon suspicion, the police intercepted and interrogated a young man. Upon searching him, the police team discovered a country-made pistol and two live cartridges in his possession. Following his apprehension and subsequent interrogation at the police station, the young man confessed to his involvement in the murder of a head constable in Sonipat, Haryana, on February 12. He further admitted to committing the crime alongside two accomplices, Sandeep and Anmol. Additionally, they confessed to robbing the constable’s car before fleeing the scene.

Pramod, a resident of Jasia village in Rohtak, served as head constable at Mohana police station. On Monday night, he departed from Mohana police station in his car around 11 pm. However, his lifeless body was discovered near a shop in Rukhi village, Gohana, around 12:30 am. Pramod had succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
The Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has made progress in the case by arresting one suspect, Sandeep, after an encounter. Efforts to locate the third suspect are currently underway.
