A 26-year-old man was detained today in Delhi’s Teliwara area for reportedly killing his live-in partner with the help of his brother and sister.
Police identified the culprit as Vineet Panwar, a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat.
According to authorities, on April 12, they received information that an unidentified woman’s body was discovered lying near Krishna Public School in Karawal Nagar.
The police said, “The deceased was later identified as Rohina Naaz alias Mahi, 25, of Mirajpur in Uttarakhand”.
“Vineet Panwar, his brother Mohit and his sister Parul are the prime suspects in the murder case”, the police added.
The police went on to say, “Viineet Panwar and Parul along with her companion Irfan were involved in dumping Naaz’s body in the Karawal Nagar area after killing her at Teliwara Farsh Bazar”.
Parul, Mohit, and Irfan had already been apprehended, while Vineet Panwar was on the loose.
Vineet Panwar was recently discovered in Ghaziabad’s Loni.
According to a senior police officer, a squad from the Crime Branch rushed there and apprehended the suspects.
Vineet Panwar acknowledged that he met Rohina Naaz in 2017 and begin a live-in relationship with her.
“The same year, he was arrested in a murder case in Baghpat, and Naaz began living with Parul at Teliwara, Farsh Bazar”, the officer continued.
Vineet Panwar was later convicted of life imprisonment in the case.
“He was granted parole in 2022 and began working as a security guard in an engineering college at Ghaziabad”, police added.
Naaz was telling Vineet Panwar that he should marry her. As a result, he allegedly plotted to murder the woman with his brother Mohit and sister Parul.
Authorities said, “After killing her in Teliwara, he and his friend dumped her body near Karawal Nagar”.
