Shocking details of a monstrous crime committed by a senior official in the Delhi government’s Women and Child Development department recently came to light. The accused received aid from his wife as she administered the 14-year-old girl abortion pills after the accused repeatedly raped her. According to the heart-wrenching details that surfaced, the official’s wife forced the victim, a class 12th student, to terminate her pregnancy when she got pregnant months after enduring the abuse.
As per the reports, the officer was a family friend of the victim, who had lost her father in the year 2020. From October 2020 to February 2021, the girl had been residing at her uncle’s residence, who repeatedly raped, sexually harassed, and physically molested her.
The minor girl started experiencing anxiety attacks and was brought to a counsellor approximately a week ago. Following in-depth counselling, she revealed the ordeal of her abuse, which had been instigated by her uncle. Disturbingly, she also disclosed that she was forced to terminate her pregnancy by the accused’s wife.
In response, the Delhi Police registered an FIR against the high-ranking official under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Given that the official’s wife actively supported and failed to report the misconduct, the police have included Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) in the FIR against her as well, as mentioned by an IANS source.
The Delhi Police have now commenced an investigation into the allegations levelled against the senior official, as they work to uncover the truth behind the distressing incident.
