Delhi Cop Thrown in Air as Speeding SUV
A police constable, while on duty conducting a vehicle check, sustained injuries in a recent incident where he was struck by a speeding SUV in Delhi’s renowned Connaught Place market. The incident occurred on the outer circle of Connaught Place, precisely last Tuesday at around 1 a.m.
Security camera footage from the area captured the constable engaged in checking a vehicle at the check post. It was at this moment that the speeding SUV collided with him, plowing through the barricades.

Eyewitnesses recount the horrific scene, describing how the constable was thrown into the air before landing on the bustling road below, suffering injuries to his leg and head in the process.
The video also shows the SUV colliding with another vehicle at the checkpost after striking the constable.

Following the incident, the injured constable was promptly transported to a hospital for medical attention and has since been discharged after receiving treatment for his injuries.
Local authorities have reported that the traffic police personnel pursued the SUV, ultimately leading to the apprehension of the driver of the vehicle. “The driver attempted to flee the scene after the accident, but we managed to apprehend him,” the police stated.
A case has been officially registered in connection with the incident, and an active investigation is currently underway to address the matter comprehensively.
