Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Offers Prayers At Hanuman Temple Ahead Of Budget Presentation

Ahead of the historic Budget presentation, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place to offer prayers.

This ritual took place just before the BJP-led Delhi government’s first budget presentation in the Delhi Assembly after a 26-year gap.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta shared her vision for the city’s future, stating, “Bajrang Bali will do the best for Delhi. Delhi will progress, and Ram Rajya will be established.”

Historic Budget 2025-26

This year’s budget is pivotal, as it marks the first one presented by a BJP government in Delhi in over two decades.

As a result, the presentation will be a momentous occasion for the national capital, heralding a new chapter in governance.

In a statement, Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma referred to the budget as ‘historic’ and predicted that the people of Delhi would rejoice upon seeing the positive changes it would bring.

Building on this optimism, Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra echoed Verma’s sentiments, terming the Budget ‘historic’ as well.

He emphasized that it is a significant step toward the development of Delhi.

He further elaborated, stating that the budget would usher in substantial progress in the city’s infrastructure, welfare programs, and governance.

These transformative changes are expected to shape the future of Delhi in a positive direction, laying the foundation for growth and prosperity.

First Budget Under BJP’s Leadership In Delhi

This budget session follows the BJP’s return to power in Delhi after 27 years, making the upcoming presentation even more significant.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will present the Budget 2025-26 in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha.

In line with the government’s reorganization efforts, the BJP will now convene Cabinet meetings at the Delhi Secretariat, replacing the previous practice of holding them at the Delhi Assembly under the former AAP government.

Earlier this week, CM Rekha Gupta tabled a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) in the Assembly.

The report highlighted DTC’s inefficiencies and financial losses, which the BJP criticized as remnants of the previous AAP administration.

The report evaluated key operational aspects of DTC, including fleet management, revenue generation, and overall sustainability.

Anticipated Changes In Delhi’s Governance

This Budget Session is attracting attention not only for the new budget’s provisions but also for its potential to reshape governance in Delhi.

Under CM Gupta’s leadership, the BJP will introduce reforms and policies that will revitalize the city’s infrastructure, improve public services, and drive economic growth.

As Delhi enters this new phase under BJP leadership, the upcoming budget and policies will lay the foundation for a more prosperous future.

CM Rekha Gupta’s words ‘visionary in nature’ indicate a transformative approach toward governance, where she believes Delhi will rise to new heights under a ‘Ram Rajya’.
