The Election Commission is all set to declare the most awaited 70-member Delhi Election 2025 results. A voter turnout was recorded at 60.42 percent in the Delhi Assembly Election, which took place in a single phase. With this, the counting process of the votes begins at 8 AM and will likely conclude by 6 PM.
Ahead of the vote counting for the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Gopal Rai confirmed on Friday that he met with all AAP MLAs.
During the meeting, the candidates shared their reports, which indicated that the party was likely to secure around 50 seats. As per media reports, Rai expressed confidence that the people of Delhi had delivered a decisive mandate, ensuring AAP’s return to power.
Moreover, Rai added, “Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, a meeting of all AAP MLAs was held today in which all candidates gave their report. As per their reports, AAP will win around 50 seats and there will be a close fight on 6-7 seats. The people of Delhi have given a mandate to AAP to form the government.”
Meanwhile, the BJP MP and Union Minister Giriraj Singh responded to former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s allegations that the BJP is attempting to poach AAP candidates to join the party ahead of the Delhi Assembly election results.
Speaking to ANI, Giriraj claimed that the AAP will not even get 16 seats. “Something like this could happen only if they (AAP) get 16 seats (in Delhi Elections). They will not even get 16 seats,” Giriraj Singh added.
