Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi celebrated its 29th Annual Day and prize distribution function on 11th May, 2023.
The function started with the unveiling of the Annual college magazine, Agranika 2023.
Prof. Sanjeev Kr Tiwari, the principal of the college, presented the annual report of the college and congratulated students from various fields for their achievements in the academic session.
The Chief Guest, Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar, the Chairman, UGC, addressed the students by highlighting the importance of holistic and multidisciplinary education through NEP. He also encouraged the students to take risks and learn through experience and critical thinking. He inspired the students about the various opportunities that can be availed through National Digital Library of India.
The guest of Honor, Prof Balaram Pani, Dean of colleges, University of Delhi presided the event and emphasized the role of dedication, commitment and hardwork for achieving success.
Prof. Sunil K. Choudhary, Chairman, Governing Body of the college motivated the students and focused on moving the institution from credibility to visibility.
Around 40 students were awarded for their achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities. Nisha mondal ( B.A. English hons, 3rd year), Milen Anugraha Paul (B.A. Political Science hons, 3rd year), Anika Kapur ( B.A. Programme, 3rd year), Arpita Gupta (B.Com hons, 3rd year), were felicitated with the Best Student award, the Sanskriti award for achievement in the extra-curricular activities, all-rounder achievement and Vidyottama award for the best hosteler respectively.
The event was ended with a vote of thanks by the organizing committee.
