Couple Stole Car In The Style Of Bunty And Bubli Arrested By The Team Of Janakpuri Police Station

The diligent team from the Police Station of Janakpuri has done commendable work by arresting Sandeep Munna R/o Palam, Delhi Age-27 years, and Reena R/o Palam, Delhi, aged 27 years with the recovery of one stolen car and laptop.

Here’s the case explained…

On 22.02.2024 at 10:46 PM, a PCR call regarding a car being taken away by some persons was received in PS Janak Puri. During the course of the inquiry the complainant stated that he had given lift to the unknown couple for help. He further stated that due to certain reasons, he came out of his car and when went to the bathroom, they took his car and ran away from the spot.  On the basis of the complaint, a case U/s 379/34 IPC was registered. The complainant further stated that his laptop was also in his car at the time of the theft.  Keeping the sensitivity of the matter, a team comprising of SI Vikrant Singh, ASI Narender, HC Paramjeet Singh, HC Vijay, HC Poonam, W/Ct Rekha and Ct Sanjay was formed under the supervision of Sh. Yashpal Singh SHO/J.P and overall supervision of Ms Suma Madda, ACP/Rajouri Garden, Delhi.

By analyzing CCTV Footage, and CDRs and following other digital footprints, the above team apprehended the accused person Sandeep Munna S/o Surender Pandit and stolen car was recovered at his instance. The accused Sandeep disclosed that his friend Reena was with him in the commission of crime. During the further course of investigation, co-accused Ms. Reena years was arrested and stolen laptop was also recovered at her instance.

Accused in the case

Accused Sandeep Munna is matric pass and co-accused Reena has studied upto 7th standard  Both of them are living in together in Uttam Nagar. Both the accused persons are addicted to alcohol and they do not have income source even to pay rent of their flat. They hatched conspiracy and took away the car of the owner who gave lift to them on seeing them in needy/helpless condition at night.
