Azamgarh : A couple was found dead in their house under suspicious circumstances in Chandpatti village of Raunapar police station area on Wednesday.
It is reported that Ramsarik (28), resident of Chandpatti village of Raunapar police station, was married to Sanju of Gorakhpur on April 27 this year. Around seven o’clock on Wednesday morning, niece Chandni went to uncle’s room to wake him. “When the door was opened, I saw that my uncle’s body was hanging with the help of a dupatta and aunt was lying dead in the bed,” informed Chandni.
Seeing this, she raised an alarm and the family members reached the room and after seeing this scene, informed the police. Raunapar police station incharge Vijay Prakash Maurya reached the spot with heavy police force. Police investigated the incident with the forensic team.

Superintendent of Police Dehat Chirag Jain said that the police, which reached the information of the couple’s suicide, after investigation, sent the bodies for post-mortem. The maternal side has been informed. Some people from the in-laws side have been detained. Upon arrival of the maternal side, further action will be taken on the basis of whatever complaint is given by them.
