Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed a public rally in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.
During his rally address, Prime Minister Modi criticized the Congress for prioritizing their own family over the nation’s interests. PM accused them of neglecting crucial demands such as One Rank One Pension (OROP) for soldiers during their tenure.
Emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to the nation, he highlighted the swift implementation of OROP upon assuming office.
PM Modi underscored his administration’s dedication to addressing the concerns of soldiers, including those stationed at the border, by instructing them to respond with ten bullets for every one fired at them.
PM Modi asserted, “BJP is a party that follows the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. The BJP government does not discriminate against those in need.”
“During COVID, free rations were provided to 80 crore needy people. The BJP government has provided 4 crore poor people with permanent houses. These houses are distributed without discrimination, benefiting people of all religions,” he added.
PM stated, “If Congress were in power, they would have distributed benefits of welfare schemes based on religion.”
Lashing out at the Congress, PM said, “Today, once again, the Congress is scrambling for power, playing all sorts of political games to gain seats. These individuals are once again using religious appeasement as a political tool.”
The Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh are taking place in four phases.
The first phase of polling took place on 19 April. The next three phases are on 26 April, 7 May, and 13 May. Vote counting will occur on 4 June.
