The Congress released a third list of 43 candidates for the forthcoming Karnataka Assembly election in 2023 on Saturday.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi, Nivedit Alva, and JDS defector Shivalinge Gowda are among those who have received the ticket.
Kothur G Manjunath will run from the Kolar constituency. Former Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi wins the Athani constituency.
Shivalinge Gowda, who defected from Janata Dal (Secular), is on the Congress’ third list of 43 candidates for the Karnataka election in 2023.
Nayana, Motamma’s daughter, receives a ticket from Congress.
Nivedit Alva, Margret Alva’s son, receives a Congress ballot.
So far, Congress has declared 209 candidates for the Karnataka Assembly Election 2023.
Notably, prior to Rahul Gandhi’s trip to Karnataka, the Congress revealed its third list of candidates for the 2023 elections. Gandhi will speak at a party gathering in Kolar on Sunday, the same place where he was convicted of criminal defamation and stripped of his Parliament membership over a remark about the Modi surname.
According to state Congress sources, the former AICC president would arrive in Bengaluru on Sunday morning and travel to Kolar to address the party’s ‘Jai Bharat’ rally.
Gandhi will open the freshly built ‘Indira Gandhi Bhavan’ – an office and auditorium with a seating capacity of 750 people – near the Karnataka PCC office in Bengaluru in the evening.
The election will take place on May 10, and the results will be counted on May 13.
