Dr. Irfan Ansari, a Congress MLA, has once again stirred controversy with his recent social media post. He commented on former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s incarceration, stating, “Fake Ram devotees have imprisoned my real Ram. My sister-in-law Sita, who is the incarnation of Maa Durga, will burn BJP to ashes. Together, their Hanuman will systematically destroy Ravana’s Lanka.” Ansari appealed to the public, urging them to “avenge every tear of Mother Sita and assist me in bringing Ram ji back safely.”
Babulal Marandi responded critically to Ansari’s post, accusing him of shamelessness. Marandi said, “Irfan ji, you are not an innocent child. Why are you trying to hurt religious sentiments with such inflammatory statements, especially during election time? It’s clear you are desperate for a ministerial position. You can grovel, but do not play the dangerous game of offending religious beliefs.”
Marandi further chastised Ansari, stating, “Irfan Ansari ji, you regard Lord Ram as fake and thieves as Ram. In your pursuit of wealth, you, along with your political associates, were arrested in Bengal by ‘Didi’. You were humiliated, beaten, and jailed, bringing disgrace to Congress in the state. Has your attitude towards them changed now out of greed for a position? It seems you have mortgaged your self-respect for the lure of a ministerial seat. Shame on you.”
This exchange highlights the escalating tensions and personal attacks as the political climate heats up in Jharkhand.
