CM Yogi Unveils Godaan Poster, Highlights Cultural Message Of The Film

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the cast of the upcoming film Godaan in Lucknow and formally released its poster. Film producer and director Vinod Chaudhary reached the state capital along with his team for the interaction. The Chief Minister extended his support to the project and appreciated its cultural theme.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had launched the trailer of Godaan in Bhopal. Following that event, the meeting with CM Yogi marked another significant step in the film’s nationwide promotional campaign.

Kamdhenu International Production has produced the film under the aegis of the Deendayal Kamdhenu Gaushala Samiti, Farah, in Mathura district. During the programme, director Vinod Chaudhary explained the vision behind Godaan and shared insights into its production process.

He said the film seeks to raise awareness about traditional values and social responsibilities linked to cow protection.

Importance of the Cow in Indian Culture

Ajit Prasad Mahapatra, National Convener of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Gau Seva Activity, spoke about the cow’s spiritual, mythological, and scientific importance in Indian culture. Referring to ancient texts, he noted that after the Samudra Manthan, Gau Mata chose to reside on Earth for the welfare of humanity, underlining her revered status in Indian civilisation.

The film may be declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. While launching the trailer, CM Mohan Yadav said that cows provide milk, ghee, and panchagavya during their lifetime and continue to support agriculture even after death through organic manure.

He honoured the film’s team and appealed to people to watch Godaan in cinemas from 6 February, adding that the state government was considering tax-free status for the film.

During the Lucknow event, CM Yogi released the Godaan poster in the presence of the cast and production team. The film portrays the role of Gau Mata in Indian culture and aims to inspire the younger generation. Several members of social organisations and cow welfare activists attended the programme.

The organisers thanked the Chief Minister, while the filmmakers said they would continue meeting leaders across states to spread the film’s message ahead of its theatrical release on 6 February.
