CM Yogi Reviews Maha Kumbh 2025 Preparations, Warns Officials To Complete Pending Work By December 30

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday reviewed preparations for the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025 during his visit to Prayagraj. He directed officials to complete all pending work by December 30 and warned that accountability would be fixed for delays.

CM Yogi performed a pooja at Dashashwamedh Ghat before inspecting various projects. He emphasized the importance of ensuring a clean Ganga and instructed the Jal Board and Irrigation Department to stop polluted water from entering the river.

The Chief Minister assessed key infrastructure projects, including pontoon bridges, water pipelines, and sanitation facilities. Out of the planned 30 pontoon bridges, 20 have been completed. CM Yogi demanded immediate progress to meet the December 30 deadline.

Safety measures are being prioritized with the deployment of 220 NDRF and SDRF divers supported by 700 boats. Teams from the PAC, water police, and healthcare staff will work together to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

Cultural and Lodging Initiatives

For the first time, pilgrims will see the Ganga riverfront and a tableau of Prayagraj during the event. The UPSTDC plans to enhance lodging facilities by introducing a 300-bed deluxe dormitory.

The Culture Department will organize folk dances and cultural programs on 20 stages across Prayagraj for 45 days. AI-powered CCTV systems will also enhance security throughout the event.

The Maha Kumbh, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025, will include major bathing festivals like Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, and Basant Panchami, attracting millions of pilgrims.
