CM Yogi Adityanath Visits Injured In Lucknow Building Collapse, Pledges Support

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Lokbandhu Shri Rajnarayan Combined Hospital on Sunday to check on the injured victims of the recent building collapse in Transport Nagar, Lucknow.

Returning from a tour of Gorakhpur, Adityanath went directly to the hospital. He met each patient, inquired about their condition, and assured them not to worry. He also spoke with the victims’ families, offering comfort and support.

The Chief Minister instructed hospital staff to provide the best care for the injured, emphasizing that no patient should face any challenges during their recovery. He reassured the families that the government would support them during this difficult time.

Adityanath was accompanied by Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MLA Rajeshwar Singh, and other top officials, including DGP Prashant Kumar and Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister stated that he had visited the injured to gather updates on their treatment and ensure that all necessary medical care was being provided. He also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the collapse.

The tragedy occurred when the three-story Harmilap building in Lucknow’s Transport Nagar collapsed around 5 pm on Saturday. Intense rainfall and waterlogging likely caused the incident. The death toll has risen to eight, with rescue teams pulling three more bodies from the debris. So far, 28 survivors have been rescued and are receiving treatment at Lokbandhu Hospital.
