CM Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute To Late Justice Giridhar Malviya In Prayagraj

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his visit to Prayagraj, met with the family of the late Justice (Retd) Giridhar Malviya, Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and great-grandson of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya.

The Chief Minister offered his heartfelt condolences and paid tribute to Malviya’s immense contributions to the fields of education, law, and social service.

CM Yogi Adityanath honored the legacy of the late Justice Malviya by garlanding his statue and reminiscing about his exemplary work.

Malviya, who passed away after a prolonged illness, remembered for his significant role in the Ganga Cleanliness Campaign and his dedication to the judicial system.

Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, CM Yogi further acknowledged Justice Malviya’s influential role in shaping the educational landscape of the country.

PM Modi & Amit Shah Express Condolences

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also expressed their condolences.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “I am deeply saddened by the demise of Giridhar Malviya, the great-grandson of Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. His demise is an irreparable loss for the entire country as well as the world of education. He had also created a distinct identity for himself through his work in the judicial service. I had the privilege of meeting him personally several times.”

“He was the proposer from my parliamentary constituency of Varanasi in 2014 and 2019, which will remain unforgettable for me. May God give strength to his family in this hour of grief. Om Shanti!” PM Modi further added.

“The news of the demise of Giridhar Malviya, the great-grandson of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya, is extremely sad. The country will always remember his contribution to the judicial service, his commitment to the Ganga cleaning campaign and his devotion to social work. His demise is an irreparable loss for the world of education. My condolences are with the bereaved family,” Amit Shah posted on X.
