CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Inspectes Farmers’ Hail-Damaged Crops

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, visited Rusalla village in the Bina tehsil of the Sagar district today to survey the farmers’ fields that had sustained hail damage. On the farmer Virendra Patel’s land, he observed the destroyed crops. The Chief Minister comforted the villagers of Rusalla’s farmers and assured them that the State Government was there for them at this difficult time. During this difficult time, the state government would not permit farmers to cry.

Chief Minister Chouhan gave the commissioner and collector instructions to assess the damaged crops honestly and completely, and to paste a list of those who were impacted at the panchayat office. According to Chief Minister Chouhan, farmers who have concerns or wish to change anything can do so.

According to Chief Minister Chouhan, the state’s 20 districts have seen substantial crop damage as a result of unseasonal rains and hailstorms. In the Sagar district’s Khurai, Narayawali, and Bina regions, crops have also been harmed. Afterward, a joint team from the departments of agriculture, revenue, and panchayats would conduct a survey, he said, and the compensation amount would be granted. Keep your head held high and your eyes dry, the chief minister advised the farmers, as Shivraj Singh Chouhan is at your side.

While in another area, CM Chouhan examined the wheat and gram crops that had grown. In this time of trouble, he urged the farmers to exercise patience. After a lot of struggle, our farmers’ produce is ready after working long hours, day and night, and losing blood and sweat. When the crop is finished, farmers are pleased. Farmers’ prospects become gloomy as a result of hailstorms. The Chief Minister declared that, in this hour of need, he stands by the farmers. In the event that more than 50% of the wheat, gram, and lentil crops are lost, an amount of Rs 32,000 per hectare will be provided.

Moreover, work on crop insurance will continue concurrently. The government of Madhya Pradesh will provide a relief sum that is not accessible in any other state. The Chief Minister gave the order to do the agricultural survey by satellite as well.

According to CM Chouhan, a family who lost a loved one to lightning will receive financial support in the amount of Rs 4 lakh. For the passing of a cow-buffalo, Rs 37,000, a sheep-goat, Rs 4,000, and a chicken-hen, Rs 100 will be awarded. Debt repayment will also be delayed for farmers whose crops were damaged by hail. Also, the government will cover the interest for the next year. Efforts would be made, he promised, to ensure that they could obtain loans in the future with 0% interest. Farmers whose daughters are slated to marry due to a hailstorm will be granted marriage funds under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.

Farmers who were unable to register for the minimum support price due to hail will have the portal reopened and registration completed. The plan will apply to all 20 of the state’s hailstorm-affected districts. After the survey, the Chief Minister instructed the collector to make an honest assessment. Farmers should receive reimbursement for losses and respite from crop insurance. There was also Bina Legislator Mahesh Rai, District Panchayat President Heera Singh Rajput, public representative officers, and farmer brothers present.

51 Banjara families who live close to the refinery visited Chief Minister Chouhan on their way back from Bina to Bhopal and shared their issues with him. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that all Banjara families be allocated pattas under the Chief Minister’s Land Housing Plan and that their drinking water problems be addressed.
