CM Devendra Fadnavis Says PM Modi’s 12 Years Transformed India’s Growth Story

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the past 12 years have brought about far-reaching changes in the country. He remarked that India has transitioned from dependence to self-reliance, gaining greater global recognition and confidence.

The Chief Minister observed that this period has been defined by wide-ranging reforms across economic, social, and structural sectors. He said these changes helped overcome long-standing policy stagnation and introduced a more dynamic governance approach.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister further noted that initiatives such as digital expansion, economic formalisation, and decisive governance have strengthened the country’s foundation for achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047.

CM Fadnavis shared these views while unveiling a coffee table book titled Rashtra Nirmanachi Tapapoorti, which highlights milestones in nation-building. The release marked the completion of 12 years of PM Modi’s tenure.

Reflecting on developments since 2014, Maharashtra Chief Minister stated that welfare-driven and citizen-focused policies have significantly reduced extreme poverty, benefiting over 25 crore people. He also pointed out that India’s economy has expanded considerably during this period, while Maharashtra has recorded substantial economic growth as well.

CM Fadnavis highlighted the impact of major reforms such as the Goods and Services Tax and the Unified Payments Interface. He explained that GST has integrated the country into a single market and encouraged investment inflows.

The Maharashtra CM  added that schemes like the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile framework and UPI have ensured transparent governance by enabling direct benefit transfers and reducing corruption.

Discussing national security, CM Fadnavis stated that India has strengthened its defence capabilities and reduced reliance on imports. He noted that the country has also increased its defence exports, reflecting improved self-sufficiency.

CM Fadnavis emphasised that the government has prioritised the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women through targeted policies and programmes. He described the book as a comprehensive account of governance achievements and their grassroots impact.

BJP Leaders Attend Event
