CJP Announces Delhi Protest March On September 5 Over Youth Commitments

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday announced a peaceful protest march in Delhi on September 5, accusing the Centre of failing to fulfil commitments made to young people on July 25.

The march will begin at India Gate and proceed to the new Delhi Police Headquarters. It will be led by families of deceased NEET victims and victims of alleged police brutality, with students and young citizens expected to participate.

The party said its National Working Committee reviewed the implementation of commitments made by the Centre and BJP/NDA-ruled states during the July 25 youth protests. It alleged that the government had delayed action and avoided giving clear assurances.

Referring to Supreme Court proceedings on August 18, the CJP said the court had repeatedly sought a list of FIRs registered across the country to consider their collective quashing.

The party alleged that the Union Government had not provided a clear commitment on the issue and that its written assurance to the CJP was still pending.

The CJP said its decision to return to the streets followed what it described as a failure to honour promises made publicly at a joint press conference on July 25.

The party further said young people had withdrawn their nationwide movement in good faith after trusting those commitments.

The CJP maintained that its patience should not be interpreted as weakness and accused the government of attempting to betray Gen-Z and families who had lost their children.

The party appealed to students, youth organisations and young citizens across the country to gather at India Gate and participate peacefully in the September 5 march.
