Madhya Pradesh news: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Chhindwara district. The groundbreaking ceremony of the ‘Shri Hanuman Lok Project’ was conducted in Jamthi village. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh said that the Ganges of development is flowing in Chhindwara, and we will leave no stone unturned in the progress of this region. He mentioned that 35 new development projects costing ₹1,178.54 crore, including the Machagora Group Water Supply Scheme with a cost of ₹848.29 crore for water provision in 711 villages of the 7 development blocks and the inauguration of 30 projects costing ₹258.75 crore, have been inaugurated.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also announced the establishment of another college and the construction of a magnificent auditorium in Chhindwara. He emphasized that the government will spare no efforts in the development of Chhindwara. He further announced the initiation of the distribution of loans exceeding ₹5,000 crore to more than 834,000 individuals at the State-Level Employment Day and Women’s Conference held in Chhindwara. Chief Minister also extended his best wishes to beneficiaries across various districts. Agriculture Minister and Chhindwara in-charge Kamal Patel, as well as the local MLA, were present at the event.
During the Women’s Conference and State-Level Employment Day, Chief Minister welcomed the brothers and sisters who attended by showering them with flowers. Chief Minister performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Machagora Group Water Supply Scheme, benefiting 711 villages, by performing the pooja of 711 water pots as part of the scheme. Beneficiaries of the Livelihood Mission’s Self-Help Groups and the Ladli Behna Yojana presented Chief Minister with a large rakhi. Members of the legislative assembly welcomed Chief Minister with a massive floral garland.
Chief Minister stated that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, drinking water is being made available in every home of every village, whereas installing hand pumps was challenging during previous administrations. He mentioned that the previous government had discontinued schemes such as providing ₹1,000 per month to Bariya, Sahariya, and Baga sisters for nutritious meals, disbursing funds for the Kanya Vivah Yojana, implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission, distributing laptops, and providing assistance to pregnant women.
Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is committed to making the lives of sisters and daughters prosperous. No sister or daughter from a poor or farmer family should be compelled to be helpless, and therefore, various schemes have been initiated. Initiatives such as the Ladli Lakshmi and Kanya Vivah Yojanas have been launched to eliminate gender bias between sons and daughters.
Chief Minister stated that sisters are not born to be helpless. Their respect, dignity, and self-confidence will be enhanced, and thus, the Ladli Behna Yojana, with a monthly disbursement of ₹1,000, is being implemented. This will be increased gradually to ₹3,000. On the 27th of this month, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated. We will not allow darkness in the lives of our sisters.
