Chhattisgarh CM Invites PM Modi For State’s Silver Jubilee Celebration; Highlights Major Development

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met PM Narendra Modi at Parliament House on Friday to discuss the state’s development agenda.

He also officially invited the Prime Minister to attend the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav, the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Chhattisgarh’s statehood, on November 1 in Raipur.

PM Invited to Mark 25 Years of Chhattisgarh’s Statehood

CM Sai extended a formal invitation to the Prime Minister to be the Chief Guest at the event, which commemorates 25 years since Chhattisgarh’s formation on November 1, 2000.

He said the Prime Minister’s presence would add significance to the Amrit Rajat Jayanti celebrations.

CM Highlights Vision for Inclusive Development

The Chief Minister informed PM Modi about Chhattisgarh’s long-term development strategy encapsulated in the state’s visionary policy document ‘Anjor Vision @2047’.

CM Sai announced that the state has introduced the Jan Vishwas Bill 2025, inspired by the Centre’s Jan Vishwas Act 2023. The bill aims to enhance transparency and ensure easier access to justice for common citizens.

The CM also briefed the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Chhattisgarh State Capital Region Development Authority (SCRDA).

The government has tasked this body with overseeing the planned and accelerated development of Nava Raipur into a smart, modern urban centre.

CM Sai said investment in Chhattisgarh has surged under the New Industrial Policy 2024–30.

The government is offering special incentives to industries that employ over 1,000 people. Notably, it has launched India’s first Semiconductor Unit in Nava Raipur and is currently constructing an AI Data Centre.

Chhattisgarh Positioned as an Emerging Tech and Industry Hub

The CM highlighted the focus on key sectors to position the state as a technological and industrial hub.

CM Sai said the state is improving education in rural areas by restructuring schools and deploying trained teachers.

In tribal regions, digital learning tools are being introduced to bridge educational gaps.

The state is fast-tracking two flagship projects, Medicity and Edu City, in Raipur. The Medicity project will serve as a state-of-the-art healthcare hub, creating significant employment and elevating the state’s medical infrastructure.

Edu City will focus on higher education and innovation-driven learning.

On internal security, CM Sai updated the Prime Minister on rehabilitation and trust-building initiatives in Naxal-affected areas. He said the government has facilitated the surrender of a large number of Naxalites. It is now actively reintegrating them into mainstream society.

The government is expanding roads, communication networks, education, and healthcare infrastructure in these areas. This effort is helping strengthen trust in governance and promote inclusive development.
