Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Achieves Prestigious Level 5 Accreditation

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has made history by becoming the first airport in India to receive the esteemed Level 5 accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI). Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced this milestone on Wednesday, marking a significant achievement for the airport.

According to Gautam Adani, the airport, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL), is not only the first in India but also the third in the world to secure the Level 5 accreditation for ‘Customer Experience’ from ACI. This recognition underscores the airport’s commitment to providing exceptional service and enhancing the passenger experience.

In a post on social media platform X, Adani expressed his pride, stating, “There is no greater manifestation of business success than a company’s ability to serve its customers. Every moment, it is this guiding principle that I urge all members of Adani Airports to dedicate their hours to.”

He continued, “There can be no greater feeling of gratitude than to have our @CSMIA_Official receive @ACIWorld’s prestigious Level 5 Accreditation for Customer Experience. Not only are we the first airport in India, but also only the third in the world to do so.”

A Commitment To Excellence In Customer Service

Adani reaffirmed AAHL’s promise to continue serving passengers with the highest standards, saying, “It is my promise on behalf of AAHL to keep serving all our passengers who walk through our airports. Thank you, my passengers. Thank you, my colleagues at AAHL.”

This achievement highlights CSMIA’s ongoing dedication to enhancing customer service and operational excellence. The airport’s management has emphasized its focus on offering world-class services while expanding global connectivity.

Strong Growth And Operational Success

CSMIA has maintained its impressive growth momentum, recording 4.77 million passengers in November 2024. This total included 3.4 million domestic passengers and 1.37 million international travelers. The airport also witnessed a double-digit growth in cargo operations during the month.

Additionally, CSMIA handled 27,200 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) in November, including 9,696 domestic ATMs and 7,504 international ATMs, which also encompassed cargo freighters. These figures highlight the airport’s expanding role in both passenger and cargo traffic.

Continued Excellence And Industry Recognition

CSMIA remains committed to maintaining its leadership position in global aviation. Its focus on delivering top-tier services and continually improving its operations has set benchmarks in customer satisfaction and excellence.

Earlier this year, CSMIA also received the CII’s National Award for Excellence in Energy Management, further cementing its reputation for operational excellence and sustainability.

As CSMIA continues to expand its services and connectivity, the airport is poised to remain at the forefront of India’s aviation sector.
