Chants Of “Teesri Bar Modi Sarkar” Echoes In Parliament Winter Session

New Delhi: The Parliament’s Winter Session opened this morning to thunderous applause for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha. A day after the BJP won all three of the core states’ assembly elections, chants of “teesri bar Modi sarkar” reverberated across the Lok Sabha.

Along with Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari, the prime minister sat in the front row. BJP MPs in rows behind him clapped and cheered for his return to power for a third term as the country goes to polls next year.

The saffron party contested without projecting the faces of potential Chief Ministers in the recent assembly elections. Their collective leadership was seen as PM Modi was projected as the face of the party.
After a day of assembly election result declaration, the Parliament winter session took place. The session is scheduled to have 15 sittings till December 22.

BJP emerged victorious in three heartland states of the nation. It not only retained power in Madhya Pradesh but also dethroned Congress in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. However, Congress managed to win Telangana, removing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi from power after 10 years.
