Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B Karunakara Reddy, currently present in Ayodhya for the consecration of the Lord Ram temple, handed over a substantial offering from the temple body to a representative of the Ram Mandir Trust on Sunday.
The TTD, the official custodian of the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, has agreed to provide one lakh laddus for the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram temple scheduled for Monday. Each laddu weighs 25 grams and is intended for distribution among the visitors and devotees during the auspicious occasion. Recently, these laddus were dispatched in 350 boxes via a cargo plane from Tirupati Airport to Ayodhya.
A press release from TTD stated, “The Chairman handed over one lakh laddus specially prepared at Tirumala Srivari temple to the representatives of Ram Mandir Trust to distribute among the devotees participating in the Ram Mandir opening ceremony scheduled on Monday.”
Arriving in Ayodhya on Sunday, Reddy was warmly welcomed by Sadhvi Ritambari, a representative of the temple trust. He proceeded to visit the Ram temple and took part in special poojas. During his stay, the TTD chief engaged with artists and representatives of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) from various states, including Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to reporters, Reddy highlighted the spiritual connection between Sri Venkateswara Swamy, a deity manifested in Tirumala, and Sri Ramachandra Murthy in the Treta Yuga. Identifying himself as the first servant of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, Reddy expressed his joy and gratitude for being a part of the prestigious and historic opening ceremony of the Ram temple.
He extended his heartfelt wishes to all those who contributed to the construction of the Ayodhya Ram temple and conveyed his blessings to the devotees participating in the grand opening ceremony.
