CBSE Board Results 2025: Class 10, 12 Scores To Be Announced Soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to declare the results for Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2025 today.

While the board has not confirmed the exact date or time, trends from previous years suggest mid-May as the usual result period.

Once announced, students can access their results through the board’s official portals- cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in.

Official Sources Only

CBSE has issued a clear advisory urging students and parents to avoid misinformation.

With social media often flooded with rumours, the board emphasised the importance of relying solely on official announcements.

The board has instructed students not to trust unofficial websites or unverified news reports about result dates and procedures.

Accessing The Results

To check their results, students must log in using key credentials such as roll number, admit card ID, school code, and date of birth.

The digital mark sheets will be available on the DigiLocker app and the official CBSE websites.

Students can also use these documents to apply to higher education institutes.

New Grading System Implemented

Starting with the 2024–25 academic session, CBSE introduced a new Relative Grading system to reduce academic pressure and promote healthy competition.

This marks a shift as CBSE now replaces the earlier system that assigned grades based on fixed mark ranges (Example, A1 for 91–100).

The new method evaluates a student’s performance in relation to their peers, with grades determined by overall group performance in a subject.

Massive Student Participation

This year, more than 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams.

CBSE conducted the Class 10 examinations from 15 February to 18 March, and concluded the Class 12 exams on 4 April.

The board completed the evaluation process in record time to ensure the timely release of results.

A Look Back At 2024 Performance

In 2024, 22,38,827 students appeared for the Class 10 exams, out of which 20,95,467 passed- achieving a pass percentage of 93.60%.

For Class 12, 16,21,224 students took the exam and 14,26,420 cleared it, resulting in a pass rate of 87.98%.

Officials anticipate similar or improved figures this year, citing curriculum reforms and enhanced student support as key factors.

Next Steps For Students

Following the release, students can download their mark sheets and plan for admissions to higher education courses, entrance exams, or vocational programmes.

CBSE is also expected to release counselling resources to help students make informed career decisions.

As students await the CBSE Board 2025 results, the board’s emphasis on transparency and reduced stress marks a significant shift.

The new grading system and rapid result processing reflect a student-centric approach aimed at improving academic outcomes and overall well-being.
