CBI To Question Post-Mortem Videographer In RG Kar Rape-Murder Case

In the ongoing investigation into the rape and murder of a junior doctor at RG Kar Medical College & Hospital, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has decided to question the videographer who recorded the victim’s post-mortem.

This decision follows concerns about the quality and thoroughness of the video documentation.

Investigators revealed that they needed to interrogate the videographer due to observations of a lackadaisical approach in the post-mortem videography.

Important aspects of the procedure were reportedly omitted, prompting investigators to question whether the videographer followed standard procedures or acted under specific instructions.

The CBI is seeking to understand whether the casual approach to the video recording was a result of negligence or a deliberate attempt to undermine the investigation.

By questioning the videographer and other individuals present during the post-mortem, the CBI hopes to uncover crucial information that could reveal a deeper conspiracy behind the tragic incident.

CBI Probes Hasty Cremation Of Victim Against Family’s Wishes

Additionally, the CBI is probing the circumstances surrounding the victim’s hasty cremation, which occurred despite her family’s wishes to retain the body for further examination.

Investigators are questioning family members and close associates of the victim to understand why they cremated the body so quickly.

Governor CV Ananda Bose’s office has expressed concerns about the Kolkata Police’s handling of the initial investigation before transferring the case to the CBI.

In a statement released on Monday night, the Governor’s office questioned the decision to dispose of the body rapidly, which disregarded the parents’ request to keep the body for additional time.

CBI officials have suggested that retaining the body could have allowed for a second post-mortem, potentially yielding valuable evidence for the investigation. The rapid disposal of the body may have limited the ability to gather more comprehensive details that could have been crucial in solving the case.
