Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday addressed a public rally in Korba, Chhattisgarh.
Addressing a public rally, Amit Shah stressed the significance of re-electing PM Modi for a third term. He emphasized the importance of tackling Naxalism and terrorism, focusing on uplifting the underprivileged.
Shah outlined a vision for national progress, inclusive development, and protecting indigenous communities. Additionally, he discussed plans to boost Chhattisgarh’s prominence nationally.
Amit Shah affirmed that as long as there is even one BJP member in the Parliament, the reservation for ST, SC, and OBC will not be removed.
Shah emphasized that neither will the BJP eliminate these reservations nor allow Congress to do so. He further added that this statement underscores Prime Minister Modi’s assurance regarding the preservation of these reservations.
Amit Shah praised the Modi government, highlighting their efforts in eliminating Naxalism from several states within five year. However, he criticized the Chhattisgarh government led by Bhupesh Baghel for not effectively tackling Naxalism.
Shah commended the bravery of security forces, mentioning recent encounters where they killed 29 and 10 Naxalites respectively. He criticized Bhupesh Baghel for terming these encounters as fake, despite Naxalites acknowledging significant losses.
Shah accused the Congress of nurturing terrorism and Naxalism for electoral gains, expressing dismay at their stance on the issue.
Voting for the Korba Lok Sabha seat will take place on 7 May.
