Terming it as a wake – up call for BJP, NC leader Omar Abdullah has said that the results are a fitting reply to the saffron outfit. “BJP has bifurcated the state without taking the people into confidence,” he said.  He also said that the state has been divided undemocratically and unconstitutionally.

It should be noted that the BJP is not so strong in the region where the polls took place with lots of Muslims prevailing out there. They are sure to cast their ballots in favour of Congress and NC. Jammu is the region where the BJP is strong. The elections for that region are still to be held.
