The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized the names of more than 50 candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, according to party sources. The decision was made during a Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting held on Thursday.
BJP President JP Nadda chaired the CEC meeting, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and other senior party leaders, including National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santhosh, attended.

Sources revealed that the finalized candidate list will be officially announced within the next 48 hours. Following the meeting, Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Shah, and Party President Nadda convened separately to discuss potential electoral alliances and the constituencies from which key leaders, such as Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, will run.
Reports suggest that Chief Minister Saini may shift his candidacy from Karnal to the Ladwa assembly seat in Kurukshetra. The BJP is in advanced negotiations with RLD’s Jayant Chaudhary and Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) chief Gopal Kanda regarding a possible electoral alliance. If finalized, the BJP plans to field candidates in 85-87 of the 90 assembly seats.
Several prominent BJP leaders, including Haryana BJP Chief Mohan Lal Badoli, former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, and Union Ministers Manohar Lal Khattar, Rao Inderjit Singh, and Krishan Pal Gurjar, also attended the CEC meeting.
The Haryana Assembly elections will take place on October 1, and the results are expected on October 4.
