BJP Alleges DMK MP A Raja Declared “We are Enemies of Ram” and Disputed India’s Nationhood in ‘Hate Speech’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused DMK MP A Raja of delivering a “hate speech” in which he allegedly derided Lord Ram and questioned the idea of India. Amit Malviya, a leader of the BJP, shared the purported speech on social media platform X, claiming that Raja called for the “balkanisation of India.”

This controversy follows critical observations made by the Supreme Court against DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin over his contentious remarks regarding ‘Sanatan Dharma’.

Alleged Remarks by A Raja

According to the English translation provided by Amit Malviya, A Raja’s purported speech in Tamil included statements questioning the unity of India as a nation, disparaging comments about Lord Ram, and remarks about various Indian cultures and traditions.

Reactions to A Raja’s Remarks

The speech drew sharp reactions from various quarters. The chief priest of Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi temple condemned Raja’s remarks, stating that they were “condemnable.” Union Minister Anurag Thakur labeled Raja as part of the “tukde-tukde gang,” accusing him of supporting divisive ideologies.

BJP’s Criticism Extends to Congress and INDIA Bloc

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized both the INDIA bloc and the Congress party for allegedly condoning such remarks. He accused them of insulting India’s ethos and Hindu Gods and questioned their political agenda.
