Rahul Gandhi at Mechanic shop in Karol Bagh
After on ground conversation with Truck drivers in India and the United States, Rahul Gandhi – Congress leader landed in a mechanic shop on Tuesday. The Congress leader even fixed a bike in the mechanic shop in Karol Bagh, Delhi. He did not worry about his hands getting spoiled. He sat on the ground with other mechanics just like a common man. This came out as an extended version of Congress’ ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
The official Twitter handle of the Congress party shared the pictures from the incident. The Tweet said, “Yahi hatho se Hindustan bnaate hain (These hands make India). In kapadon par lagi Kaalikh hamaari khuddaari aur shaan hai (The soot on these clothes is our pride). Aise haathon ko haunsla dene ka kaam ek jananaayak hee karata hai (Only a true leader encourages the work of such people).”
The post further exclaimed, “Bharat Jodo Yatra” Jaari hai (continues…)
The leader also indulged in conversation with people in the shop as kept on fixing the bike on the sideline.
The former Lok Sabha member also spoke with vendors and employees at the Karol Bagh bicycle market. The Congress leader greeted the gathering that had assembled and shook hands with the people.

Earlier in the month, the Congress leader even went on a truck drive with a US based truck driver to know about their lives. That was not the first truck drive of Rahul Gandhi. He earlier had traveled via truck from Delhi to Chandigarh. During that ride, he got to know about various issues faced by truck drivers in India.
Mr. Gandhi engaged in a conversation with the drivers from two different nations. Thus, he was able to know what are the conditions in the two countries. While Indian drivers are getting bare minimum as truck drivers, truck drivers in the United States get decent wages to support life.
Indian drivers do not get much respect in the profession but American drivers get respect in society. They are able to live a dignified life. The American trucks are designed keeping in mind the comfort of the drivers, whereas the Indian trucks lack the comfort point.
