Bharat Express Urja Summit: Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and the state’s Energy Minister led the Energy Summit organized by Bharat Express News Network. The summit, held on Wednesday, 7 August at 4 pm, saw the participation of many eminent personalities, including bureaucrats and industry experts.
Maharashtra Electricity Board Director Vishwas Pathak opened the summit with a key address. He highlighted the significant demand for electricity in the agricultural sector, noting that 30% of the total electricity production is required solely for farmers.
Pathak emphasized the challenge of providing affordable electricity, stating, “It’s a dream for us to provide cheap electricity; we are subsidizing electricity to farmers.” The summit provided a platform for critical discussions on energy needs and strategies to support Maharashtra’s agricultural sector.
