Bharat Express MD Upendrra Rai Attends Exchange4Media’s Event ‘News Next 2023’, Says-News Not Being Delivered As Per People’s Needs

The News Next 2023 program of ‘Exchange4Media’ was organized at Radisson Blu Hotel, Noida. Chairman, MD and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express News Network Upendrra Rai attended the programme. He was invited as a power speaker in the 12th edition of News Next. Addressing the program, he said, “We are not delivering news according to the needs of the people in today’s time. We are bound. We are worried about our revenue.”

While addressing the people, he narrated a story. During this, he told how there was a war between America and Cuba because of a newspaper. Upendrra Rai said that it is necessary to pay attention to how news changes our lives. He said that in TRP competition, we ignore all the significant aspects. They open news channels but do not pay attention to important things. He also told the truth about the real estate, as well as about the scam of Air India. He said that some people in the media set the agenda.

During the program, he said that our journalism brings happiness in someone’s life. Is our journalism bringing any virtue into anyone’s life? Does our journalism have the power to spread a little smile on someone’s face? I would definitely say yes. But there is another side to it as well. He said that the way the serials running on TV gave wings to the dreams of the middle class, and taught people the right way to dress up. Similarly, social media has given a platform to the laborers working in the factory, to the rickshaw pullers, to the people sitting in the auditorium. He said that the media came into our lives as a mission, but we have let down this mission.

‘Exchange4Media’ organizes its annual media summit ‘NewsNext’ every year. This year it is the 12th edition. Magnificent arrangements have been made for the program at Hotel Radisson Blu in Noida. Many VVIP guests are participating in this program.

During the program, news channel stalwarts, media experts, advertisers, brand marketers, educationists and many leaders associated with global media gathered together. The guests participating in the program gave their views on all aspects regarding the future of TV news. Recently, Upendra Rai, MD and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express, was honored with the APJ Abdul Kalam Award.
