Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai Leads The Charge In Promoting Volleyball In Ghazipur District

A state-level volleyball competition was organized in Sherpur Kalan village, located in Ghazipur district, Uttar Pradesh. The event, which commenced on Friday, 28 February, was inaugurated by Upendrra Rai, the Chairman, CMD, and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express News Network. CMD Upendrra Rai’s presence marked the beginning of what would become an exciting and action-packed competition for both players and spectators.

During the opening ceremony, CMD Upendrra Rai addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of discipline and dedication over the result of the game. He shared an inspiring message with the players, saying, “Winning or losing is not as important as achieving success through discipline and dedication. Players should remain humble, as true progress and victory in life are often achieved through setbacks and defeats.”

Semi-Final Highlights: BL W Varanasi Triumphs

The second day of the competition, Saturday, featured an intense semi-final match between the BL W Varanasi and NE Railway Gorakhpur teams. The Varanasi team emerged victorious with a commanding win, clinching the sets 25/20, 25/21, and 25/22. The winning players were celebrated and honored for their exceptional performance.

The volleyball event took place at the Sherpur Kalan volleyball ground, drawing a large crowd from the local community. Several dignitaries from the region were also in attendance, further elevating the event’s significance.

Ajay Kumar Rai, a member of the organizing committee, was presented with a T-shirt from the Late Radhika Devi Smriti Volleyball Competition, which was inaugurated by Bharat Express CMD Upendra Rai.

In addition to the competitive matches, progressive farmers from the area were also honored for their contributions to the community. Their efforts were recognized as an integral part of the village’s overall development.
