Taking notes from his life, Upendra Rai was born on 16 January 1982 in Sherpur village of Ghazipur district of UP. He received his early education in his village Sherpur and at Inter College, Mohammadabad. He completed his graduation from Lucknow University. Afterwards, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his career as the National Sahara Bureau chief.
