The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with NSD, orchestrated the grand finale of the world’s largest international theater festival, Bharat Rang Mahotsav, at Delhi’s Kamani Auditorium, marking the culmination of a nationwide extravaganza that commenced on February 1st. A staggering 2000 theater groups joined forces to set a new record, harmonizing their performances around a singular theme.
Upendrra Rai, CMD and Editor in Chief of Bharat Express graced the closing ceremony as the guest of honor, receiving accolades for his significant contributions to the festival. Upendrra Rai’s presence symbolized the convergence of media support with artistic endeavors, amplifying the reach of Bharat Rang Mahotsav to households nationwide.
The festival, an initiative to democratize theater, aimed to transcend geographical boundaries, resonating with audiences across the globe. Bharat Express, as the media partner of NSD, played a major role in this mission, effectively capturing and disseminating the vibrancy of Bharat Rang Mahotsav to a global audience.
The closing ceremony witnessed a heartfelt tribute to Upendrra Rai, acknowledging his instrumental role in fostering cultural exchange and promoting the ethos of Bharat Rang Mahotsav. The event culminated in a stirring rendition of the festival anthem, composed by Chittaranjan Tripathi and penned by Samara Kirkire, resonating with the spirit of artistic expression and communal harmony.

Spanning from February 1st to February 21st, 2024, Bharat Rang Mahotsav unfolded across 15 cities, showcasing over 150 performances encompassing diverse theatrical traditions.
