Bengal Polls: PM Modi Expected To Attend Seven Campaign vents April 9-12

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to take part in seven election campaign engagements in West Bengal between April 9 and April 12.

These events come amid the critical two-phase Assembly elections in the state.

According to a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party state unit, the Prime Minister may address three major rallies on April 9.

These rallies are planned in Asansol, Suri, and Haldia. He is likely to speak at all three venues consecutively.

On April 11, PM Modi is scheduled to address three more rallies. These will take place in Jangipur, Katwa, and Balurghat. Party sources confirmed that he will stay overnight in Siliguri after these engagements.

On April 12, the Prime Minister will participate in a roadshow in Siliguri town. Officials stated that further details regarding these programmes remain awaited.

Earlier, on April 5, PM Modi launched his campaign in the state with a large rally in Cooch Behar.

Reports indicate that he plans to attend 14 campaign programmes in total, including rallies and roadshows.

His final campaign event is expected in Bhabanipur. There, Suvendu Adhikari will contest against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The event may combine both a rally and a roadshow.

The state will conduct polling on April 23 and April 29. Authorities will count votes on May 4.
