Beds Reserved  At Hospitals, AIIMS Doctors Training Medics In Ayodhya Ahead Of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ Of Ram Mandir

Prior to the Ram temple’s consecration event, beds have been reserved at medical colleges and city-based district hospitals of Ayodhya. Additionally, clinicians at Ayodhya’s healthcare institutions have received targeted emergency response training from specialists at the AIIMS. The visitors who will be present at the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony at the recently constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22 have these beds reserved, according to officials.

7,000 guests invited to witness Ram Temple consecration

The consecration event has been extended an invitation to over 7,000 people. The Ayodhya district administration is prepared to handle any medical emergency situation in light of the large crowd in the temple town, particularly considering the bitter cold in the holy city.

Ayodhya city has one government healthcare centre — the over 120-year-old Sri Ram Hospital — which is located near the Ramjanmabhoomi temple site along Ram Path. “All protocols have been decided which will be followed in case any patient care is required. If anyone associated with the event faces any health emergency, the first place they will be taken to is the Sri Ram Hospital, where beds have been reserved,” a senior official told media.

According to him, if a referral is required, the patient would be referred to the district hospital in Ayodhya. If additional care is required for a particular specialty, the patient will be brought to the Maharshi Dasrath Medical College in Darshan Nagar.

“Currently, about 25 beds have been reserved at our hospital and it is planned to reserve about 20 per cent beds by January 22 so that they can cater to the guests, who will gather in Ayodhya for the mega ceremony,” he told PTI.

Doctors from AIIMS training medical facility in Ayodhya hospitals

In addition to a few senior physicians from Sri Ram Hospital, doctors from the AIIMS have given specific training in medical emergency response to the two district hospitals, according to Kumar. The training took place at the medical college campus here, he added.

“From the Centre’s side, all preparations to assist the state government will be there if they need anything. All India Institute doctors, emergency response teams, they will work here with the state government and the state government have also augmented emergency beds and oxygen facilities and specialist doctors will be brought in. So, the preparations are underway from both the Centre and state sides,” a senior official from the central government had earlier told PTI.

On Thursday night, PTI went to the two district hospitals and the designated wards, which housed beds, oxygen tanks, and other medical supplies.

According to sources, ambulances will be stationed at regular intervals away from the temple complex site, staggered in order of arrival. According to a source, the district hospitals have booked at least ten ambulances with basic life support systems for the January 22 event. Additional agencies will also be assigned advance life support ambulances.

Another source stated that more medicine has been stocked because 7,000 people is a large number, it’s the winter season, and many elderly guests are anticipated. As a result, preparations have been made appropriately.
