A Woman Dragged To Death By A Truck
Banda Accident: Ahead of the Kanjhawala case, similar incident came into light in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. On late Wednesday, a female riding a scooty was hit by a truck and dragged her body for 3 kilometers. The heart wrenching incident took place in Mawai Buzurg village of Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district.
Days after Anjali Singh, was dragged to death beneath a Maruti Suzuki Baleno car for 12 Kms in the national capital Delhi, similar accident took place.
According to an initial report, a truck caught fire as the victim body’s got struck. Ahead of the ablaze truck, the deceased’s scooty was also burnt into ashes.
The official information of the incident was reported by news agency ANI.
The ANI wrote: “Uttar Pradesh | A lady govt. officer died on the spot, in Banda district, after her two-wheeler vehicle was hit by a truck & got stuck into it. The vehicle was dragged after being stuck in the truck due to which a fire broke out in the truck: ASP Banda.”’
While seeing the incident, five tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire and the police are trying to get the deceased’s body out of the truck.

Speaking to the media, the PRO of the university BK Gupta said that the victim’s name Pushpa, who worked as a clerk in the university. She went out to buy household items and petrol when the accident took place.
After the accident, the truck reportedly dragged the woman for over 3 kilometers. A lot of bypassers tried to stop the truck but the driver did not stop. BK Gupta also said that the accident took place as there were no breakers in the area.
The victim, Pushpa, was a resident of Lucknow. Body has been removed from the truck’s dumper and has been sent of autopsy, said the ASP, Laxmi Niwas Mishr. The accused driver is on the run. Police are investigating the entire matter based on the information provided by bypassers.
