Badariya 2026 Showcases India’s Cultural Diversity and Social Harmony, Says Harsh Malhotra

Senior BJP leader Harsh Malhotra praised Badariya 2026 for showcasing India’s cultural diversity and social harmony.

Speaking at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, Harsh Malhotra lauded Bharat Express CMD and Editor-in-Chief Upendrra Rai, Foundation president Yogita Singh and the organising team.

The Mata Chakeri Devi Foundation and Delhi Government’s Maithili-Bhojpuri Academy jointly organised the monsoon farewell festival.

Harsh Malhotra said India possesses one of the world’s oldest and richest cultures.

Beginning with ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, Harsh Malhotra said languages and dialects may change every 50-60 kilometres, but India’s core culture remains united. He described it as a tradition rooted in fraternity, warmth and philanthropy.

Harsh Malhotra said Badariya had brought this inclusive spirit of Indian folk culture to life in the national capital. He further highlighted the Foundation’s social initiatives. He said it works to bring disadvantaged communities into the mainstream.

The senior BJP leader linked its efforts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare vision, stressing better education for children and self-reliance for women.

Harsh Malhotra said more than 200 central welfare schemes launched in recent years have reached 140 crore citizens. He described the Foundation’s service to the last person in society as a meaningful expression of nation-building.

CMD Upendrra Rai helped bring Purvanchal and Indian folk culture to the heart of Delhi.

Bharat Express served as the festival’s principal media partner. Manoj Tiwari, Kapil Mishra, Pravesh Wahi, Dr Monika Pant, Satya Sharma, several MLAs and other dignitaries attended the event.

Foundation founder Brijesh Rai attended the event with trustees Santosh Ojha, Rajiv Pathak and Apoorva Singh.

Trustees Radheshyam Yadav, Krishnadev Singh and Pramod Kumar were also present.

Badariya began on September 1, 2025, at Central Park in Connaught Place. Harsh Malhotra, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Cultural Minister Kapil Mishra and CMD Upendrra Rai attended the inaugural event.

The 2026 edition moved to Talkatora Stadium and featured over 20 artists, including Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, Priya Mallik, Chandan Tiwari, Rishi Singh, Samriddh Pathak and Satvik Pathak.
