Ayodhya Gears Up For PM Modi’s Flag Hoisting Ceremony On 25 November

Ayodhya is once again preparing for a significant moment as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the temple town on 25 November for a special flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.

Across the city, preparations are progressing rapidly, with civic teams working around the clock to ensure everything is in place for the high-profile event.

Workers are thoroughly cleaning the roads, installing new signboards, and deploying sanitation teams across the city.

Officials have put up posters of the Prime Minister at prominent spots, adding to the charged atmosphere.

At the entrance of the Ram Temple, the inscription ‘Jati Pati Puche Nahi Koi, Hari Ka Bhaje So Hari Ka Hoi’ underscores the devotional spirit of the occasion.

The temple town is aglow with decorative lighting, vibrant installations, and a festive ambience.

Locals, shopkeepers, and visitors describe an atmosphere of excitement, with many expecting a memorable celebration as Ayodhya reaches another milestone in its transformation.

Security Measures Intensified

Security officials have tightened arrangements ahead of the ceremony. They have activated CCTV cameras across the region and installed additional units in sensitive areas.

The Local Intelligence Unit is maintaining close surveillance, and security personnel are conducting regular patrols.

Authorities are also undertaking verification drives in slum areas and temporary settlements near the border, checking residents’ identification documents to prevent unauthorised movements during the event.

Temple authorities have announced elaborate preparations for this year’s celebration.

They will decorate the subsidiary temples dedicated to Lord Mahadev, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Suryadev, Maa Bhagwati, Maa Annapurna, and Sheshavatar on a grand scale alongside the main shrine.

A team of 108 Acharyas from Ayodhya, Kashi, and South India, guided by noted Kashi scholar Ganeshwar Shastri, will perform the rituals.

They will ceremonially hoist a saffron flag bearing the Sun symbol, representing eternal energy, radiance, virtue, and enlightenment — qualities associated with Lord Ram.

Prime Minister Modi to Lead the Ceremony

Prime Minister Modi, who led the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla on 22 January 2024, will once again preside over the rituals in the presence of saints, dignitaries, and members of the temple trust.

Nearly 6,000 invited guests are expected to attend the event, marking it as one of Ayodhya’s significant gatherings since the consecration ceremony.

As anticipation builds, local businesses — from shopkeepers and transport operators to eateries and homestays — report a sharp rise in demand.

Many describe this period as one of their busiest since the Pran Pratishtha celebrations, with Ayodhya experiencing a renewed wave of visitors and economic activity.

With festive decorations, meticulous preparations, and rising anticipation, Ayodhya is ready for another historic moment as it welcomes the Prime Minister for the flag-hoisting ceremony.
